"It All Started With A Vision..."

(A. Roeckl)

In 1839, Jakob Roeckl's vision was to make the finest gloves possible. They should protect, beautify and remain with their owners for many years. He founded his craftsman's workshop in Munich, and set about producing kid gloves of the highest quality.

His philosophy was to use only the finest materials and to employ the greatest care in craftsmanship. These two tenets have remained the touchstone of the company through five generations. As a success formula for extraordinary talent in leather workmanship and fine accessory production: gloves, knitted accessories, foulards, scarves, and most recently, bags.

Today, the company is directed by a member of the sixth generation of the family, Annette Roeckl. She, too, preserves the principles of the company founder, considering quality to be the maxim of her collections. Keep what is good and make it better, is how she operates and directs the course of the company in the future. With new ideas and exploration of new markets. The myriad strands of the company's global activities converge and are entwined at Ms. Roeckl's headquarters in Munich.

From supplier to the Royal Court of Bavaria, this long-established company developed into the European market leader with 23 of its own retail stores. Even today, many VIPs wear Roeckl gloves and accessories with great enthusiasm.
